American College of Physicians to Preserve e-journals with Portico

12.30.16

American College of Physicians (ACP) will preserve its e-journals with Portico, ensuring that they will be secure and available into the future.

The ACP is the largest medical specialty organization in the United States. ACP members include 148,000 internal medicine physicians (internists), related subspecialists, and medical students. Internal medicine physicians are specialists who apply scientific knowledge and clinical expertise to the diagnosis, treatment, and compassionate care of adults across the spectrum from health to complex illness.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Portico to preserve Annals of Internal Medicine, ACP Journal Club (1991-2008), and Effective Clinical Practice,” said Diane Scott-Lichter, Senior Vice-President of Publishing, ACP. “Portico ensures that our electronic journals, which are among the most highly cited and influential medical journals in the world, will be preserved for future generations of researchers and clinicians in a reliable, consistent, and accessible format. Our participation in Portico is important to our institutional customers, and we are happy that we can now offer this service.”
