American Medical Association to preserve e-journals with Portico

Portico is pleased to announce that the American Medical Association (AMA) will preserve its e-journals with Portico.

“Readers, authors, and librarians rely on access to the medical content we provide,” stated Elizabeth Jones, senior vice president and publisher from the AMA. “We recognize Portico as an essential part of any digital preservation strategy and trust that our journals will be secure for future generations in their care.”

AMA has committed 13 titles for preservation in Portico, including its flagship journal, JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association), the 9 prestigious Archives journals, American Medical News, Disaster Medicine and Public Health Preparedness, and Virtual Mentor.
