Canadian Periodical for Community Studies to preserve its e-journal with Portico

03.26.13

Portico is pleased to announce that Canadian Periodical for Community Studies has entered into an agreement with Portico to preserve Canadian Journal of Community Mental Health/Revue Canadienne de Santé Mentale Communautaire. Through this agreement, Canadian Periodical for Community Studies ensures that its e-journal will be preserved and available for future scholars, researchers, and students.

“We are happy to be partnering with Portico,” commented John Sylvestre, senior editor, Canadian Journal of Community Mental Health. “It is essential that electronic-only journals like ours have permanent means of preservation. Portico provides a reliable and cost-effective way for us to ensure that our journal remains accessible for years to come.”

Canadian Journal of Community Mental Health provides a forum for Canadian scholars and practitioners with interest in the promotion of positive mental health and the prevention and treatment of mental health problems in community settings. The journal is an interdisciplinary publication devoted to the sharing of information and valid knowledge about phenomena pertinent to the mental well-being of Canadians and their communities.

Portico will act as a perpetual access mechanism for this title.
