Portico is pleased to announce that Edward Elgar will preserve its entire collection of e-journals and e-books with Portico.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Portico,” said Tim Williams, managing director, Edward Elgar Publishing. “We consulted widely with librarians before developing Elgaronline, our new electronic book and journal platform, to ensure we created a product that met library requirements and was an easy acquisition decision. Digital preservation is clearly an important component of the additional value that libraries get when using publisher platforms and many of our largest customers work closely with Portico.”
Founded in 1986, Edward Elgar (http://www.e-elgar.co.uk/) is an international family-run publisher in economics, finance, business and management, law and public policy. Elgaronline will launch with more than 2,000 monograph and reference book titles and a growing list of journals. Elgar publishes more than 300 e-book titles each year.
Portico will act as a perpetual access mechanism for both Edward Elgar’s e-journals and e-books.
