PAGEPress to preserve e-journals with Portico

Portico is pleased to announce that PAGEPress has entered into an agreement with Portico to preserve its entire e-journals collection. Through this agreement, PAGEPress ensures that its e-journals will be preserved and available for future scholars, researchers, and students.

Michele Moscato, managing director of the PAGEPress publishing house, said, “Digital preservation is an important factor in making sure journal content remains available. We are confident that our partnership with Portico will ensure our authors enjoy reliable, long-term visibility for their work, helping us to maintain our commitment to serve the scientific community and safeguard the spreading of knowledge.”

PAGEPress is an Italian media company that has been developing services for the international medical community since 1992. PAGEPress offers a platform specialized in the online-only publication of scientific journals. PAGEPress also manages the switch that some traditional journals are making towards the Open Access model. The PAGEPress portfolio includes Open Access scientific journals in a wide range of fields, such as medicine, biology, zoology, agriculture, and many others.

Portico will act as a perpetual access mechanism for the titles committed to the archive.
