Portico (www.portico.org/digital-preservation/) is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with Begell House to preserve its entire collection of 38 e-journals. Through this agreement with Portico, Begell House ensures that its collection of e-journals will be preserved and available for future scholars, researchers, and students.
Begell House is a publisher of books and journals in both print and electronic form. These publications provide the latest research in the areas of science, medicine, and technology. Begell House’s journals collection provides information in the fields of thermal & fluids engineering, heat & mass transfer, fluid dynamics, material sciences, telecommunications, immunology, and more.
As part of the agreement, Begell House will make an annual contribution to help support the work of the archive and has named Portico as a mechanism to fill post-cancellation access claims.
With the inclusion of Begell House’s 38 e-journals, over 10,800 e-journals and 34,000 e-books from 94 publishers on behalf of over 2,000 societies and associations have now been entrusted to the Portico archive.
