Portico, a digital preservation service for the scholarly community (www.portico.org), is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with Scientific Journal Publishers Ltd. to preserve its online journal, Social Behavior & Personality. SJP Ltd., based in Palmerston North, New Zealand, founded the journal in 1973 to foster scientific communication in the disciplines of social, developmental, and personality psychology.
Through this agreement with Portico, SJP Ltd. ensures that the online version of the journal will be preserved and available for future scholars, researchers and students. SJP Ltd. has named Portico as a mechanism to fill post-cancellation access claims and has also agreed to make an annual financial contribution to Portico.
With the inclusion of Social Behavior and Personality, over 7,900 e-journals and 4,400 e-books have now been entrusted to the Portico archive.
