Portico announces preservation agreement with the American Society of Clinical Oncology

Portico is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) to preserve its online journals collection. Founded in 1964, ASCO is a non-profit organization representing physicians and health-care professionals in all oncology subspecialties who care for people with cancer. With nearly 25,000 members worldwide, ASCO advances the education of oncologists and other oncology professionals through its publications and conferences and is an advocate for policies that provide access to high-quality cancer care.

Through this agreement with Portico, ASCO ensures that its online journals are preserved and available for future scholars, researchers, and students. ASCO has also agreed to make an annual financial contribution to Portico and has designated the Archive as an official delivery platform for post-cancellation access claims.

With the inclusion of ASCO’s publications, over 6,200 titles have now been entrusted to the Portico archive. The complete list of titles is available at /digital-preservation/who-participates-in-portico/participating-titles/ and a list of participating publishers is available at /digital-preservation/who-participates-in-portico/participating-publishers/.
