SAE International to Preserve E-books and E-Journals

SAE International has entered into an agreement with Portico to preserve its full digital library to ensure all content will be secure and available in the future.

The SAE digital library has over 220,000 resources consisting of e-books, journal articles, magazine articles, technical papers, and engineering standards. These resources are used by academia, corporations, and government organizations, as well as the aerospace and ground vehicle industries.

“Our users rely on the stability and accessibility of technical data to build vehicles that move people safely,” said Frank Menchaca, Chief Product Officer. “SAE International is proud to partner with Portico in ensuring the long-term preservation and availability of that data for engineers, students, and instructors and the people who support them.”

SAE International is a global association of more than 127,000 engineers and related technical experts in the aerospace, automotive and commercial-vehicle industries. It specializes in connecting, training, and educating engineers and students.
