The American Society for Cell Biology reaches agreement with PorticoThe American Society for Cell Biology has reached an agreement with Portico to preserve its entire online journals collection of three titles. The American Society for Cell Biology was founded in 1960 to bring the varied facets of cell biology together. Since its founding, the ASCB has grown to more than 11,000 members throughout the United States and 50 countries. Through this agreement with Portico, the ASCB ensures that its online journals collection will be preserved and available for future scholars, researchers, and students. The ASCB has also agreed to make an annual financial contribution to Portico. With the inclusion of the ASCB journals, over 7,400 titles have
now been entrusted to the Portico archive. The complete list
of titles is available at http://www.portico.org/about/committed_titles_alpha.html and
a list of participating publishers is available at http://www.portico.org/about/part_publishers.html. Last updated on March 19, 2008 |
