American Astronomical Society to archive journals with Portico

Portico is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with the American Astronomical Society (AAS) to preserve its four online journals. The AAS, established in 1899, is the major organization of professional astronomers in North America with an objective to promote the advancement of astronomy and closely related branches of science.

Through this agreement with Portico, the AAS ensures that its online journal collection will be preserved and available for future practitioners, scholars, researchers and students. The AAS has also agreed to make an annual financial contribution to Portico to help support the ongoing costs of the archive.

With the inclusion of the AAS journals, over 7,400 titles have now been entrusted to the Portico archive.
