American Accounting Association to preserve journals with PorticoPortico is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with the American Accounting Association (AAA) to preserve its entire journal collection. Founded in 1916 as the American Association of University Instructors in Accounting, the AAA promotes excellence in accounting education, research and practice. A global organization, the AAA is composed primarily of accounting academicians emphasizing the development of a theoretical foundation for accounting. The American Accounting Association has a long-standing commitment to preservation, and has been archiving its flagship journal, The Accounting Review, with JSTOR since 1998. Through this agreement with Portico, the AAA ensures that its 13 journals are preserved and available for future scholars, researchers, and students. In addition, the AAA has designated the Portico archive as an official delivery platform for post-cancellation access claims. With the inclusion of AAA journals, over 6,100 titles have now been entrusted to the Portico archive. The complete list of journal titles is available at http://www.portico.org/about/committed_titles_alpha.html and a list of participating publishers is available at http://www.portico.org/about/part_publishers.html. Please visit the Portico website to view a current list of participating libraries http://www.portico.org/about/participating_libraries.html. Last updated on May 24, 2007 |
