Portico signs archiving agreement with the American Society
of Civil Engineers
Portico is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with the American
Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) to preserve the society's entire
journal collection. Founded in 1852, ASCE is America's oldest
national engineering society and represents more than 140,000 civil engineers
worldwide. ASCE advances professional knowledge and improves the practice
of civil engineering through publications, conferences, leadership opportunities,
and networking opportunities.
Through this agreement with Portico, ASCE ensures that its thirty journals
are preserved and available for future scholars, researchers, and students.
With the inclusion of ASCE journals, over 6,100 titles have now been
entrusted to the Portico archive. The complete list of journal titles is
available at http://www.portico.org/about/content_digitally_preserved_alpha.html and
a list of participating publishers is available at http://www.portico.org/about/part_publishers.html.
Please visit the Portico website to view a current list of participating
