Optical Society of America to archive journals with Portico

Portico is pleased to welcome the Optical Society of America (OSA) as its newest publisher participant. Founded in 1916, OSA is a professional society of optical engineers and scientists devoted to advancing the fields of optics and photonics. With a worldwide membership that exceeds 14,000, OSA promotes the study of light by means of worldwide research, scientific publishing, conferences and exhibitions, partnership with industry, and the education of new generations of scientists.

Through this agreement with Portico, OSA ensures that eight of its online journals are preserved and available for future scholars, researchers, and students.

With the inclusion of OSA publications, over 6,100 titles have now been entrusted to the Portico archive. The complete list of titles is available at http://www.portico.org/about/content_digitally_preserved_alpha.html and a list of participating publishers is available at http://www.portico.org/about/part_publishers.html.

Please visit the Portico website to view a current list of participating libraries http://www.portico.org/about/participating_libraries.html.
