Portico signs agreement with ALPSP to archive Learned Publishing

Portico is pleased to welcome the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP) as its newest publisher participant. ALPSP is the only international association for not-for-profit publishers and the largest trade association for scholarly and professional publishers. The Association's mission is to play an active part in shaping the future of academic publishing. ALPSP offers an extensive program of courses, seminars, training programs, and the publication of a quarterly journal.

Through this agreement with Portico, the current and back file issues of ALPSP's Learned Publishing journal will be preserved for future scholars, practitioners, researchers, and students. Learned Publishing is an international journal containing peer-reviewed research, topical articles, editorials, books reviews, and other reports on major issues facing the world of academic publishing.

In addition, ALPSP has agreed to make an annual financial contribution to support Portico's ongoing operations and has designated Portico as an official delivery platform for post-cancellation access claims.

With the inclusion of ALPSP's journal, over 5,100 titles have now been entrusted to the Portico archive. The complete list of journal titles is available at http://www.portico.org/about/committed_titles_alpha.html and a list of participating publishers is available at http://www.portico.org/about/part_publishers.html.

A current list of participating libraries is available at http://www.portico.org/about/participating_libraries.html.
