Portico announces preservation collaboration with the American Psychological AssociationPortico is pleased to announce that the American Psychological Association (APA) has signed an archive license agreement to preserve their journal collection. The APA is the largest scientific and professional organization representing psychology in the United States. The APA works to advance psychology as a science, as a profession and as a means of promoting human welfare. Their global membership includes more than 150,000 researchers, educators, clinicians, consultants and students. Through this agreement with Portico, the APA makes certain its entire collection of 58 journal titles is preserved for future scholars, practitioners, researchers, and students. In addition to supplying journal content, the APA has agreed to make an annual financial contribution to Portico and has designated the Archive as an official delivery platform for post-cancellation access claims. With the inclusion of APA's journal publications, over 5,300 titles have now been entrusted to the Portico archive. The complete list of journal titles is available at http://www.portico.org/about/committed_titles_alpha.html and a list of participating publishers is available at http://www.portico.org/about/part_publishers.html. Please visit the Portico website to view a current list of participating libraries http://www.portico.org/about/participating_libraries.html. Last updated on March 30, 2007 |
