Portico is a service of ITHAKA and is overseen by its Board of Trustees. The Trustees represent all members of the academic community with an interest in the long-term preservation of scholarly content, including university presidents, librarians, publishers, and faculty members.
Additionally, a sub-committee of the Board is specifically dedicated to oversight of Portico to ensure the careful review and guidance of its policies and approach as well as consistency with best practices in digital preservation. The sub-committee is led by Deanna Marcum, Associate Librarian for Library Services at the Library of Congress.
