45 publishers, including 41 Open Access, join Portico

Portico recently reached a milestone of 1,000 publisher participants, and we continue to welcome new content providers to the archive. Forty-five publishers have joined Portico so far in 2022 alone. Applications now open for iPres 2022 sponsored participation

Portico is pleased to support the participation of iPres 2022 conference attendees from underrepresented or low/middle-income countries. Hosted by the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC), iPres is the longest-running conference series on digital preservation. This year’s conference will be held from September 12-16, 2022 in Glasgow, Scotland. Participation in Portico surpasses 1,000 publishers and 1,000 libraries worldwide

Portico has passed an important milestone and now has more than 1,000 participating publishers who, along with more than 1,000 participating libraries, allow us to meet our mission of ensuring that scholarly content remains usable, authentic, discoverable, and accessible. Portico access alert: Journal of Space Syntax and Journal of Playwork Practice

Portico is now providing access to the content from two additional academic journals. These titles are no longer available through their original publisher or a successor; therefore, they have “triggered” and are freely available to the community via the Portico archive.
